PORTIA SHIPMAN, AUTHOR

Portia Shipman is a visionary entrepreneur, humanitarian, and fierce advocate for social justice. As the owner of Good Times Home Health Care, Inc., she has dedicated her career to providing compassionate care and support for individuals in need. Her entrepreneurial ventures include running Ms. Queen’s Party Bus for ten years and now leading Women Empowering Sessions through the Purple Door House, creating a space for mentorship, support, and personal growth.

 

Since 2015, Portia has spearheaded the Paint the City Purple Campaign (PTCP), a global initiative to raise awareness about domestic violence and gender-based violence. Through PTCP, she has mobilized communities, launched international campaigns, and created safe spaces for survivors and advocates to unite in the fight against abuse.

 

In 2022, Portia entered the political arena, running for office to amplify the voices of underserved communities. As a published author, she uses her platform to inspire others to reclaim their power and rewrite their narratives. Her unwavering commitment to justice led her to establish the Sherri Denese Jackson Foundation for the Prevention of Domestic Violence, further solidifying her legacy as a champion for social change.

 

Through Portia Shipman Enterprises LLC, she continues to lead transformative initiatives, blending business, activism, and advocacy to create lasting impact. Whether in elder care, domestic violence awareness, or social justice reform, Portia remains a beacon of resilience, always pushing forward to uplift and empower others.
